Can I get a special meal at lunch?
COSAC's registration fees include breakfast (continental) and lunch. If you require a kosher or vegan meal, indicate your preference on the registration form. It will not be possible to arrange for special meals on-site. Please make alternative meal arrangements if you have other dietary restrictions, as our food and beverage options may not meet your needs.
If I register and can't attend the conference, can I receive a refund?
All cancellation requests must be made in writing via e-mail notification to conference@njcosac.org. Cancellations may be made without penalty before the May 2, 2008 deadline. Refunds will not be given for cancellations after May 2.
Does COSAC provide financial help to those who may need it?
A limited number of Conference scholarships are available for family members on a first-come, first-serve basis. Scholarships are available to individuals with autism spectrum disorders and family members who regularly care for their family member with autism. There is a limit of two scholarships per family. COSAC asks that applicants contribute as much as possible to the Conference fee to ensure that the greatest number of scholarships are distributed. Sorry, there are currently no more sponsorships available for the 2008 Issues in Autism Conference.
Do I get a discounted price if I am a COSAC member?

I am a professional in the autism field, does COSAC offer Continuing Education Credits?
Yes, for New Jersey Educators:
During the course of three days, you can potentially earn up to 17.5 professional development hours by attending all sessions. If you are a presenter, you can double the hours you earn for each workshop you present. Certificates for Professional development hours will be distributed at the end of each Conference day. The procedure to receive the certificate will be announced at the Conference. COSAC's provider number is 848.
Poster Presenters - COSAC is approved to offer professional development credit for poster session presenters. Each presenter who attends the entire one-hour poster session may receive two professional development credits through the NJ Department of Education.
Board Certified Behavior AnalystsTM (BCBAs)
COSAC is an approved Type 2 Continuing Education provider by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB®). Credits are available for all three Conference dates. Attendees who attend all possible sessions can earn a maximum of 19.2 credits. Qualifying workshops are marked with a "BCBA" code in the registration and program brochures. While BCBAs and BCaBAs will not receive continuing education units from COSAC for attending workshops that do not have this code, certificants may wish to pursue credit under the Type 3 category. More information on this option is available at www.bacb.com. COSAC plans to distribute the CE certificates on-site for attendees' convenience.
In an effort to demonstrate COSAC's support for the professional development of behavior analysts, there will be no charge for the CE credits this year (typical charge is $10 per credit hour). COSAC is proud to offer this service to the behavioral community.
