COSAC thanks the following event organizers for their time, energy and efforts in planning the following special events to benefit COSAC.   Thank you to the Junior Woman’s Club of Sparta and organizers Darlene Blandina and Carrie Kelleher for organizing a successful Festival of Trees, a two-day event that featuring a silent auction of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, family entertainment, visits with Santa Claus, and more. Proceeds to COSAC:  $8,050 Thanks to the more than 600 students and faculty of Reeds Road School in Galloway Township who each walked 5 miles and collected donations for COSAC during their annual charity walk-a-thon. Proceeds to COSAC:  $2,748.00Thanks to Matt Cortina, Pavan Katepalli and his fraternity brothers at Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity at Rutgers.  They collected signatures of support from students and faculty on a six foot ball (pictured above) to raise funds and awareness for COSAC during a weeklong fund drive.  Proceeds to COSAC:  $822 Thanks to Hanover Powersports for sponsoring the 2nd Annual Ride through scenic northwest New Jersey.  The Ride, through the Delaware Water Gap, ended in Stokes State Forest with a BBQ Picnic, live entertainment, and festivities.     Proceeds to COSAC:  $3,044 Thank you to the Greenwich Autism Alliance, Kelly and Bob Milazzo and event sponsors and participants for organizing their first golf outing at the Colonia Country Club.   Proceeds to COSAC:  $45,000 Thank you to Ironman Tri-Athlete Brian Shea and the many other participants who helped him meet the milestone of 150 miles run over three days on the Point Pleasant Boardwalk.   Proceeds from the event support the JT Foundation’s awareness and fundraising efforts, a portion of which will be donated to COSAC. Thank you to Surfer’s Environmental Alliance for hosting the White Water Evening for Autism in Monmouth Beach.  The event kicked off the historic 28-mile paddle which featured some of the world’s best surfers, including Darrick Doerner and Gerry Lopez, in the first ever surf paddle around Manhattan.  Click here for event photos. Holly Fire Commissioner, David Moore, Burlington County Fire Department, Bernice Johnson, Exit Realty, for coordinating the first annual Burlington County Walk at Burlington Center Mall.   Proceeds to COSAC:  $4,000 Thanks to Sharlene Zuppardo, Michelle Walsh and committee for planning this First Annual event to benefit COSAC and Howell Recreation.   Proceeds to COSAC:  $2,000 Thank you to Remington & Vernick Engineers for a successful bowling event that raised $65,000 for 5 charities, including COSAC.  Click here for event wrap up! Total Amount:  $65,000; Proceeds to COSAC:  $13,750 Thanks to Steve Bidgood (above left) and Hugh Preece (above right) of the Salt Creek Grille for hosting this 1st Annual Event at the Salt Creek Grille in Princeton.  The event raised funds for COSAC’s Adult Resources Project. Salt Creek Grille will be supporting COSAC year round by flying an “Autism Awareness Flag” and featuring a special menu item, with $1 of each order to benefit COSAC. Amount Raised:  $22,025 More than 500 people attended this event at the Birchwood Manor in Whippany, organized by volunteer Jessica Vanderhoef, a teacher at Rockaway Meadow School.  Thanks to Jessica and her entire volunteer committee for their efforts.
