Alina received a BA in Special Education from West Chester University in 1997. She joined COSAC in 2004. Daily, Alina answers Advocacy and Information Service calls and responds to e-mails from parents and professionals. Alina also plans workshops for the autism community, reviews IEPs, attends and displays COSAC’S information at fairs and conferences, creates and updates referral lists and assists the Director of Advocacy and Information Services with special projects/events related to advocacy or information/referral services. Her previous experience includes positions as a special education teacher for New Jersey and Pennsylvania middle and high schools, a residential facility and a special service organization for which she implemented behavioral and educational programs.

“I enjoy helping to improve people’s lives by giving them information for a new direction, reviewing IEPs, helping families find an advocate, or anything else that they need. It’s wonderful to see some of the people whom you’ve helped and who are positively affected by COSAC. I couldn’t ask to work at a better place!”
